"Pippa"

Pippa is our beautiful silver girl with an enormous capacity for love and an incredibly devoted heart. Pippa's beautiful appearance is complemented by her genetics. She is a true dilute (d/d), carrying two copies of the dilute allele which gives her the distinctive dilute pigmentation we love. Her color genetics, petite size, and individual temperament are all carefully considered when selecting future pairings for her. At just 6 pounds, she's as dainty as they come, with a striking silver coat, expressive face, and petite build that make her a very special little lady. 

Miss Pippa has a personality all her own. While Shih Tzus are often known for being exceptionally social with just about everyone they meet, Pippa is very much a one-person dog. Once she chooses her person, her loyalty runs deep. She is happiest curled up in my lap, cuddled beside me in bed, or simply staying close to wherever I happen to be. 

With other members of the family, Pippa is tolerant and cooperative, although she makes it clear that they are not her person. With strangers, she can be reserved and cautious. She prefers to decide for herself who earns her trust. 

That individuality is something I believe is important to represent honestly in my breeding program. Pippa's intensely loyal, selective nature is part of who she is, and I believe prospective families deserve an honest picture of the temperament of each of my parent dogs. While Pippa's personality does not mean that her offspring will necessarily share the same traits, temperament is one of many factors I thoughtfully consider when planning a pairing. Every puppy is an individual, and genetics, early development, socialization, and environment all play a role in shaping the dog they become. My goal is not to make guarantees about personality, but to be open and transparent about the dogs behind each of my puppies. 

Beyond her beautiful silver coloring and petite size, Pippa is confident, expressive, incredibly devoted, and unmistakably herself. She has taught me that even within a breed known for its sociability, every dog is an individual and Miss Pippa has never been. afraid to have an opinion about who belongs in her inner circle. 🥰
